We are in a privileged place, you could say that Gor, the municipality in which the Cave Houses of Atochal Orígenes are located is the gateway to the famous Geopark of Granada. This was declared a World Geopark by UNESCO in 2020.
As amazing as it may seem the destination GEOPARQUE DE GRANADA, has 7,722 km² covering the regions of GUADIX, BAZA, HUÉSCAR and MONTES.
This park is located in the heart of the Betic Mountain Range, surrounded by some of the highest peaks of the peninsula, such as the Sierra de la Sagra and Sierra Nevada. Since prehistoric times, the unique geology and climate of this area have deeply influenced the life and cultural traditions of its inhabitants.
